Why learn a wind instrument?

Wind instruments can be a lot of fun and there are plenty of opportunities to play with other musicians when you play a wind instrument. Wind instruments can even be great therapy for kids with asthma or other physical challenges. We offer lessons in recorder, flute and saxophone. Most beginner's lessons include work with playing the notes on your instrument along with reading music and music theory.  While the student is gaining musical knowledge he or she is also having fun with songs and melodies typical of his or her instrument.
